Duration: 60'

The multi-award winning company Agrupación Señor Serrano presents Kingdom, an irreverent cocktail mixing bananas, King Kong, consumerism, virile choreographies, commercials, punk rock, supermarkets, growth, confusion, expansion, multinationals, shortages, coups d’état, bestiality, trap music and very macho men in an endless party. One of the most intriguing proposals of the current scene, Agrupación Señor Serrano have bewildered international audiences with their signature techno-theatrical language, combing video, performance, scale models, dance, objects and live music. Each show is a new micro-universe, used as a backdrop for their nonconformist philosophy. In Kingdom, multimediality and unconventionality reach new, augmented levels.
Founded by Àlex Serrano in Barcelona in 2006, Agrupación Señor Serrano is a theatre company that creates original productions based on stories drawn from the contemporary world. Awarded the Silver Lion at the 2015 Venice Biennale and the 2016 City of Barcelona Prize, among others, their works use both the most innovative technologies and traditional tools to question the boundaries of theatre. For each production, the company relies on collaborations with artists from different disciplines and blends different expressive vocabularies to stage stories that portray discordant aspects of today’s human experience. Birdie (2016), A House in Asia (2014) are among Agrupación Señor Serrano’s most recent works.
