Journalist Luca Pitoni opens the talk, in conversation with Gaia Piccarolo, architect and architectural historian, to introduce the journey into Brazilian Modernism. The reportage and a short documentary, made by “Cartography,” in the houses that have shaped the new landscape of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo since the 1950s are presented. Also on view is a trailer shot along the banks of the Cristalino River in a nature reserve in the Amazon rainforest. Then, a dialogue between Domingo Milella artist and Francesco Zanot curator on the future of image, starting from Milella's "archaeological photography" work. Finally, "Cartography" reports from a research trip by the anthropologist Alexander C. Trigg to La Gomera, on the trail of the tradition of silbo, a whistling language still practiced today, handed down and taught on the Spanish volcanic island.
