Andata e ritorno. A brief guide for radical tourists in Val Venosta

Andata e ritorno. Breve guida per turisti radicali nella Val Venosta (Round Trip, a short guide for radical tourists in Val Venosta) is a publishing project by Ugo La Pietra and Manuel Canelles, which takes the form of a cultural and performative device capable of overcoming the traditional logic of tourism and territorial representation. The volume is presented as a hybrid guide, halfway between a notebook, a manifesto and a mind map. Through texts, photographs, reflections, notes and theoretical interventions, Andata e Ritorno accompanies the reader on a journey of exploration that takes place between six emblematic locations in South Tyrol and a section of conceptual postcards that outline an alternative itinerary in the visual geography of the valley. Each place is approached as a living and problematic subject, removed from postcard narratives.
