We present Anatomia del suono, a series that brings together musicians, producers, and singers with a strong design-driven approach, creating a bridge between the cultures of design and music. The conversations, led by designer and musician Lorenzo Palmeri, offer an opportunity to explore how method and intuition, structure and instinct, vision and expressive freedom intertwine in the making of a sonic work.
The guest of this new event is Marta Salogni, an Italian sound engineer and producer based in London, widely acclaimed internationally for her experimental and handcrafted approach to sound. She has collaborated with artists such as Björk, Depeche Mode, M.I.A., Black Midi, Bon Iver, and Gorillaz, developing over time a personal language that merges technology, craftsmanship, and a distinctive sensitivity to listening. During the conversation, she shares her vision of the studio as a space for invention and dialogue, where sound matter takes shape through choices that weave together instinct, technique, and poetry. The discussion touches on the role of tape, time, and layering in recording processes, and on how production itself can become an act of composition and design.
