Workshop
abiTANTI
September 20 – October 19 2025
AGES 6 – 11
Duration: 120'
A workshop in Officina, our new space for families, held during the 24th International Exhibition to imagine clothes that tell us about and prepare us for the worlds to come.
Clothing is both protection and language: a gesture of care for the body and, at the same time, an expression of one's identity. But it is also a symbol of the inequalities and contradictions that inhabit our time. abiTANTI invites children to reflect on these issues starting from a simple and powerful question: “If you had to leave your home to live in a new place, what clothes would you sew for yourself?” Between real and imaginary habitats, accompanied by Attila Faravelli's sound compositions, participants are guided to design and build—using waste materials—a garment capable of welcoming, narrating, and connecting, intertwining personal stories and collective visions.
