Emidio Clementi

Emidio Clementi, Italian novelist and musician, comes to Voce Triennale with a performance featuring three monologues drawn from two of his publications, La ragione delle mani and Gli anni di Bruno (Playground). Through the stories of a jazz impresario, an elderly woman returning from her son’s wedding, and a disoriented teenager, the artist gives voice to characters portrayed with sincerity and irony. While moving across different registers, the three monologues share the same attempt to decipher the world and find a way to embrace it, without ever fully succeeding.
