Dance Well – Research and Movement for Parkinson’s is an initiative designed to encourage the practice of contemporary dance in museums and artistic settings. It is mainly, though not exclusively, dedicated to people living with Parkinson’s. Classes take place every Thursday from 10 to 11 am—until the end of the year. Participation is open to everyone. Classes have limited capacity and are free of charge upon registration.
Dance sessions are led by certified Dance Well teachers, who are free to adopt different approaches, techniques, and styles through their artistic proposals, focusing on the development of expressive skills in dance. The team includes Alessandra Onnis and Emanuele Enria, already teaching at Lavanderia a Vapore in Collegno (Turin), along with Serena Marossi and Simone Moretti, who teach at Accademia Carrara in Bergamo. Launched in 2013 by CSC – Centro per la Scena Contemporanea of the Municipality of Bassano del Grappa, Dance Well is now the leading Italian artistic initiative dedicated to dance for people with Parkinson’s.
