SLAM – International Soundtrack Festival
When
From unreleased Morricone recordings to the electronic worlds of Jeff Mills: three days of concerts, screenings, DJ sets, listening sessions, workshops and talks this December.
The International Soundtrack Festival returns for its second edition, organised in collaboration with CAM Sugar. Taking place across Triennale Milano, from Voce to the Theatre, the festival explores the creative processes and compositional practices behind the sound worlds of past and present, from the scores of Ennio Morricone and Piero Umiliani to the latest experiments in contemporary international music.

Among the first guests announced for this edition are Jeff Mills, a pioneer of techno and a leading figure in global electronic music; filmmaker and visual artist Romain Gavras, whose music videos have redefined the language of contemporary music; journalist and writer Stefano Nazzi; and Hania Rani, one of the most distinctive composers and pianists of the new European scene, as well as the author of the score for the 2026 Academy Award-winning film Sentimental Value. The program also features composer and filmmaker Christophe Chassol, presenting his live project Funny How? in its Italian premiere; music supervisor Randall Poster, known for his collaborations with directors such as Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese and Sofia Coppola; Pino Donaggio, composer of landmark scores for thriller and horror films—most recently for Nicolas Winding Refn’s Her Private Hell, presented at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival—and singer-songwriter Joan Thiele, who will join Andrea Fabrizii for a listening session exploring the musical and cultural legacy of Piero Umiliani on the centenary of his birth. Additional guests will be announced in the coming months.
